Surgical breaks on rise as hols offer new look - Guardian
"Research published today reveals that medical tourism is on the increase as more Britons go abroad for cosmetic surgery, operations and post-operative relaxation. Last year they spent £60m on these breaks - the largest cut of total UK spending of £135m on health and wellness holidays.
A quarter of Britons would now consider recuperating overseas after an illness or operation and 12% would consider surgery abroad because of lower prices, Mintel's Health and Wellness Holidays report says. Demand was initially fuelled by lower cosmetic surgery prices abroad."
