Professor Steve Bloom has developed a new 'diet drug' (i.e. pharmaceutical junk) with which to harm obese patients.

Diet treatment ready for human trials

Extracts from the Telegraph:

"A new generation of diet drug which could be as effective as weight-loss surgery could soon be on the market after the announcement that it was ready for human trials.

Scientists believe the drug, which creates a false feeling that a person is full, could offer a breakthrough in the treatment of obesity, which is predicted to reach epidemic levels in the coming decades."

"It has been developed by Steve Bloom, a medical professor at the university, who has produced a synthetic version of a hormone called oxyntomodulin, which is known to help obese patients reduce their food intake."

More junk science, predicated on the false belief that obese people become obese because of overeating and will lose excess weight by dieting/undereating...)o: - Obesity is actually caused by fluid retention/salt sensitivity and can easily, swiftly AND SAFELY be reduced by avoiding salt and salty food.

Lose weight, reduce your risk of most cancers, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, vascular dementia, osteopenia, osteoporosis, hypercholesterolaemia, depression, liver and kidney problems, and improve your health in many other ways without drugs or expense by eating less salt! - Try it! - You will feel so much better!
