The majority of obese children reject the idea of weight loss surgery.

BBC News reports that majority of obese children reject the idea of weight loss surgery. "Across the board, school is not helping them sort their weight out - the food is problematic, the exercise is inappropriate for them and the bullying culture against them is not addressed."

It's a shame and a scandal that these unfortunate children are not being told the truth about child obesity and not being given the correct advice to reduce it. - Most childhood obesity is caused by eating salt and salty food. Parents (and schools) should as a priority seek to protect children from salty food. As well as causing the children to be obese in itself, it also tends to result in a sort of addiction to salt, which makes it harder to reduce salt intake.

  1. Salt does have a powerful impact on weight, but usually it's the foods that have the most salt on them that are the things that are the least healthiest.
