Carers jailed for 'humiliating' disabled patients

"Three "cruel and despicable" care home staff who encouraged patients to fight and racially abuse each other were each jailed for six months today.
During an "abhorrent" year-long reign of terror they systematically preyed on the mentally and physically vulnerable from behind a facade of love and concern, the court heard.
In one incident a carer encouraged a Down's Syndrome patient to "beat up" a fellow resident afflicted with autism."
