Don't waste your will-power and damage your health by dieting! - If you want to lose weight, cut out salt!
Obesity is not caused by eating fat or sugar or too many calories. Nor is it caused by inactivity/laziness. It is caused by weakened veins leading to fluid retention in the bloodstream, i.e. sodium retention and water/fluid retention, and thereby to excess weight/obesity.
The way to reduce/prevent obesity is to avoid salt and salty food, and to avoid prescription drugs as far as possible because these are a major cause of the the blood vessel damage that precedes the salt sensitivity/fluid retention.
Why not help with disseminating the truth? - If you have any friends who are overweight and know from experience that dieting does not work, tell them about my blog or send them a link to my website. - Better still, tell your MP about my website. - I'm afraid my own MP is as much use as a chocolate teapot...)o:

The Telegraph reports that being overweight is a curse not just on a woman's health, but on her entire life, a new study has found.
article in the Telegraph
Extract:
"Researchers have discovered that overweight women are more likely to lose their jobs, be a victim of crime and have money troubles. They are are more likely to be criminals themselves.
To make matters worse, because of these stressful life events, they are driven to comfort-eating which only perpetuates the problem, increasing the probability that they will be unluckier still."
The first paragraph of the extract I have chosen is doubtless correct. These findings are measurable and are capable of being checked to see if they can be replicated. - The second paragraph is assumption (false), based not on evidence, but on learned prejudice. - The fatter/more obese people are, obviously the more food/calories they need in order to service their heavier bodies - to move their heavier bodies around and to keep their bodies warm. - If the fat people do indeed eat the greater amount of food/calories they need why should it be called 'comfort-eating' or any other derogatory term?
And here's a fact - not an assumption for the misguided, condescending 'experts' that bring out these flawed 'studies' to ponder - when fat people disobey the dictates of their bodies' needs and stay hungry by forcing themselves to take the sort of advice these 'experts' give, i.e. to eat less food/fewer calories in order to lose excess weight, they do not lose excess weight: they gain weight.
This is because eating insufficient food for your body's requirements weakens the blood vessel walls (as well as weakening every other system and every organ in the body), thus bringing about swollen, overstretched veins containing more fluid, and it is fluid retention that is the cause of obesity/excess weight. Whilever women and men continue to be constantly misinformed by the foolish, unscientific 'experts', obesity will continue to increase both in incidence and in severity.
To lose excess weight it is necessary to eat less salt and salty food because this will reduce the body's fluid retention. This is the safe, sure, healthy way to lose weight and it works like magic.
DON'T DIET! - Dieting is unnecessary, harmful and IT DOES NOT WORK!

Heinz Asthoff, a German, eats more than 12,000 calories a day and does not gain any weight because he is not sensitive to salt.
Extracts from the Telegraph:
"A German has been dubbed "the man with the bottomless stomach" as he binges on over 12,000 calories a day without gaining an ounce in weight.
Heinz Asthoff was struck with an incurable hunger following the death of his wife 22 years ago.
His incredible ability to eat endlessy without getting fat has been the subject of scientific studies and a TV programme in his homeland."
""I can't eat out anymore. Last time I went to a pub I ordered a potato pancake and ended up eating 100 of them. I can't afford it."
He is nearly six feet tall and weighs 15 stone. "My doctors say my stomach is like the mine I worked down for 36 years – black and bottomless," he said.
Doctors confess that they have no idea why his metabolism demands so much food."
"His doctor Henning Huesch said: "He does not have especially high cholesterol, is not physically ill through eating, but is clearly addicted to it."
Mr Asthoff is to undergo more tests at a university clinic near his home next month."
If doctors were not so fixated on the calorie theory of weight gain/loss they would not be looking for a metabolic explanation for why this man does not gain weight despite overeating. - They would realise and acknowledge that overeating does not cause overweight.
It is fluid retention/salt sensitivity/weakened veins that causes weight gain, and dieting increases fluid retention so does not reduce weight in obese people. - People with strong healthy veins and healthy kidneys, like Heinz Asthoff, simply excrete any excess sodium and water via the kidneys and bladder, and excrete any excess fat in the faeces. - Calories are not involved...
So obesity is not caused by overeating! - It is caused by fluid retention and is made worse by dieting.
To reduce fluid retention you need to cut down on salt/sodium - i.e. avoid eating salt and salty food. - Forget about calories! - If you are overweight, you KNOW that dieting does not work! - Cutting down on salt DOES work. - Try it!

Why is it so easy for slim people to stay slim?
And it's not because they take a lot of exercise. Many of them take no exercise at all.
And it's not because of their metabolism! - What nonsense that idea is!
No. - It's because they have healthy veins that don't get distended/swollen, causing fluid retention! - Fluid retention is what causes weight gain and obesity.
For all of us who are not slim and who would like to lose weight - our veins have become weakened. - We have to reduce our salt intake in order to reduce the fluid retention. - So eat less salt and you will lose weight.
It's very interesting. Read about it:

Reduced calorie diet 'may cause osteoporosis'. - This is not news to me. I have been linking 'slimming' with a host of health problems for years now.
See http://www.wildeaboutsteroids.co.uk/steroids.html
Restricting calories is extremely hazardous. It can cause MANY grave health problems. And I am not referring only to 'drastic' slimming. - Eating fewer calories than the body requires is always likely to cause harm. Here is an extract from my website:
"Calorie counting and advice about increasing exercise and reducing fat and carbohydrate intake to reduce obesity are ineffective, counter-productive and often damaging. - See the article in the British Medical Journal of November 2003 BMJ article for actual research on what happens when this advice is followed! - Over 800 obese adults were put on energy deficit diets, given diet sheets and plenty of instruction and help from trained staff, and apparently, visited fortnightly for a year, at the end of which they had GAINED weight! This mirrors the real experience of obese people, viz. - dieting makes you fat.
It is commonly accepted now, except by the 'experts', that less than 5% of dieters actually lose weight, and most gain weight as a result of dieting. - Even the ones who manage to lose weight do not usually improve their health. - See Guardian article for a report in The Guardian of Monday, June 27th 2005. It is about a huge Finnish research study of nearly 3000 people over a period of 18 years. The study found that overweight people who diet to reach a healthier weight are more likely to die young than those who remain fat. It also found that dieting causes physiological damage that in the long term can outweigh the benefits of the weight loss."
Obesity is not caused by eating to excess or by insufficient exercise. There has never been a scrap of reproducible scientific research or evidence to support the theory that excess calorie intake causes obesity, nor that calorie deficit reduces obesity. The theory and the advice it spawns should be abandoned forthwith. They cause great harm and suffering. When people whose blood vessels are weaker than the norm eat salt, the result is weight gain and obesity (because of excess sodium and water held in the blood vessels). This condition is sometimes called sodium retention. If these people reduce their salt intake they lose some of the excess sodium and water, and so lose weight, and if they eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables they lose weight faster, because the potassium in the fruit and vegetables displaces some of the excess sodium from the body.
So - all that is normally necessary to lose weight is to eat less salt/sodium, and, preferably, eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
'SLIMMING'/DIETING/RESTRICTING CALORIE INTAKE IS MOST DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE OBESE AND IT IS CATASTROPHICALLY HARMFUL FOR STEROID VICTIMS - THAT IS, PEOPLE WHO HAVE RAPIDLY GAINED A GREAT DEAL OF WEIGHT BECAUSE OF TAKING PRESCRIBED STEROIDS, HRT, AMITRIPTYLINE OR CERTAIN OTHER PRESCRIBED DRUGS.

Do You Bruise Easily?
Your blood vessels have weakened. They may also be overstretched. Maybe you have been 'dieting' and have lost some of the firm tissue from your body. If you cut down on the amount of salt you eat, it will help your weak veins because they will become less distended. Have a look at some of the pages of http://www.wildeaboutsteroids.co.uk/ and find out more. (The site does not sell anything and has no banners or ads - just helpful info.)
